key duties and responsibilities:
1. oversee human resources practices and processes, particularly faculty recruitment, academic assessment, faculty orientation, staff onboarding and departure;
2. collaborate with the school dean and divisions to understand staffing needs and ensure alignment with institutional goals;
3. serve as a resource for personnel policies, procedures, benefits, laws and regulations;
4. build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, professional organizations, and related departments within the university.
qualifications and requirements:
1. bachelor's degree in human resources, education, or related field; master's degree preferred;
2. minimum of 5 years of experience (8 years at the level of manager) in human resources management, preferably in an academic setting;
3. strong understanding of academic hiring practices and the higher education landscape;
4. excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
5. proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
salary and benefits
salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. appointments will be made under the establishment of cuhk-sz and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the prc. the appointee will be based at the university campus in shenzhen, prc.
