入門筆譯|CATTI|譯者社群▼此崗位base香港Research Assistant I?(Ref: 2300669)Department of Linguistics and Modern Language StudiesProject Title:Exploring Linguistic Creativity in English Novels by Bilingual Chinese Authors: A Corpus-BasedApproach?[Appointment Period: 12 months]The Department of Linguistics and Modern Language Studies seeks a proactive, research-oriented, and highly?organised individual to contribute to the construction and analysis of a corpus of Bilingual Chinese Writers'?English Novels, under the overarching theme of Asian English Literature. The successful candidate will work?closely with the project leader to ensure timely completion of project tasks in accordance with the schedule.Responsibilities include collecting corpus files, conducting linguistic analysis of English literature, managing?day-to-day operations of the project, coordinating data compilation, developing project-related teaching and?learning materials, drafting progress reports and research articles, and other ad hoc duties as assigned by the?project leader. The appointment will be for a period of 12 months with the possibility of renewal subject to?satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a Master's degree in English language or related?areas, with research experience in linguistics and/or literature, and familiar with corpus linguistics and corpus?analysis tools. Applicants who do not have a master's degree must have at least two years’ work experience in?research work related to linguistics and/or literature. Applicants should have a high proficiency in both English?and Chinese, attentive to fine details, highly self-motivated, and able to work within tight timelines.
