In recent years, BIT has established and implemented a recruitment system for teaching staff of “pre-appointed, tenured, and special positions” that is unique to the university and aligned with international conventions. 長聘崗位:包括長聘教授、長聘副教授

創(chuàng)新發(fā)展?jié)摿Υ?,在其研究領(lǐng)域取得國際同行認可的突出研究成果,具有一定國際影響力的學(xué)科方向帶頭人。

預(yù)聘崗位:包括準聘教授、預(yù)聘副教授、預(yù)聘助理教授

獲得高水平大學(xué)博士學(xué)位,具備較好的學(xué)術(shù)背景及發(fā)展?jié)摿?,已取得一定學(xué)術(shù)成績的優(yōu)秀青年人才。原則上,準聘教授年齡不超過40周歲,預(yù)聘副教授年齡不超過35周歲,預(yù)聘助理教授年齡不超過32周歲。

博士后研究人員:具有良好的學(xué)術(shù)背景、較強的創(chuàng)新活力和學(xué)術(shù)潛能,具備獨立開展研究工作的能力。獲博士學(xué)位3年內(nèi),原則上年齡不超過35周歲。

1.Categories of Career Opportunities

The annual numbers of talents to be recruited

Teachers: 200+ Postdoctoral researchers: 300+

Special positions: including distinguished professors, chair professors and specially-appointed professors

Academic leaders with excellent scientific accomplishments and internationally recognized academic achievements in their research disciplines, with the ability to lead an academic team to confront academic challenges.

Tenured positions: including tenured professors and tenured associate professors

Academic pace-setters with great potential, and internationally recognized research achievements in their research disciplines.

Pre-appointed positions including pre-appointed professors, associate professors and assistant professors

Excellent young talents with a doctorate degree from a prestigious university, a strong academic background with prominent academic outcomes. In general, pre-appointed professors should be no older than 40, pre-appointed associate professors no older than 35, and pre-appointed assistant professors no older than 32.

Postdoctoral researchers: Those with a solid academic background, strong innovation and academic potential, and the ability to undertake independent research. They must have received a PhD degree within three years and, in general, not older than 35.

3.Treatments and welfare

1. Settlement of household registration in Beijing when conditions permit;

2. Providing adequate research start-up funds for corresponding positions; providing priority support in areas such as experimental office conditions, team staffing, and doctoral/master post-graduate admittance depending on the actual situation of teaching and research;

3. The university insists on identifying and recruiting talents in accordance with first-class academic standards, offers remuneration and welfare that is internationally competitive and builds a long-term growth strategy;

4. Providing housing subsidies in accordance with corresponding positions and facilitating access to transitional apartments;

5. Resolving descendants’ care and schooling issues to alleviate concerns for the talents introduced.

About Us

北京理工大學(xué)是中國共產(chǎn)黨創(chuàng)辦的第一所理工科大學(xué),是新中國歷批次重點建設(shè)的高校。

首批進入國家“211工程”和“985工程”;

首批進入“世界一流大學(xué)”建設(shè)高校A類行列。

1940年,延安自然科學(xué)院;1952年,學(xué)校更名為北京工業(yè)學(xué)院,成為新中國第一所國防工業(yè)院校;1988年,學(xué)校更名為北京理工大學(xué)。

學(xué)校設(shè)有21個專業(yè)學(xué)院、9個書院以及前沿交叉科學(xué)研究院、先進結(jié)構(gòu)技術(shù)研究院、國家安全與發(fā)展研究院等教學(xué)科研單位;設(shè)有工學(xué)、理學(xué)、管理學(xué)、經(jīng)濟學(xué)、法學(xué)、教育學(xué)、文學(xué)、藝術(shù)學(xué)、交叉學(xué)科等9個學(xué)科門類。

About Us

Beijing Institute of Technology founded in 1940, is one of the most prominent universities in China, as the first university of science and engineering since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It is one of the first batch of universities included in the national “Project 211” and “Project 985”, and the first batch of universities included in the First Rate University in the “World-class Universities Initiatives.”

To increase its competitiveness, BIT divides itself into five faculties, 21 academic schools, with a wide range of academic focus covering science, engineering, management, economics, humanities, social science, etc., as well as a number of research centers in different fields.

Discipline Construction

In QS World University Rankings 2023, BIT ranks 355th overall, besides being among the top 10 in China for science and engineering. BIT ranks 150-200th at the Academic Ranking of World Universities in 2022. BIT has established partnerships with 382 universities in 78 countries and regions, with 54 universities ranked as global top 200. According to the rankings by ESI 2022, engineering, materials science, chemistry, computer science ranks 1‰, 11 subjects ranks 1%, including engineering, materials science, chemistry, computer science, social sciences(general),physics, environmental science & ecology, mathematics, economics & business, geoscience, clinical medicine.

Talent Strategy

In recent years, we have been vigorously advancing our talent strategy by implementing five major talent programs and five major enhancement programs. We have also been deepening five major reform tasks, building a “5-4-3-2-1” innovative talent pyramid in order to continually create a favorable ecosystem that “attracts, secures, and retains talents, allowing them to grow and develop well.” We have established new modes for introducing and cultivating talents such as the “Leading Swan Effect,” “Agglomeration Effect,” “Multiplication Effect,” and “Apprentice Effect.” The aim is to effectively promote the introduction of talents, cultivating the talents, and gathering talents.

Over the past seven years, we have achieved quality improvement and quantity increment.
